I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I grew up in public housing, along with my parents and 14 brother and sisters. I am a proud alumnus of Miami Northwestern Senior High School.

As a longtime community activist and a Miami-Dade County employee for over 25 years, public service is my passion and mission in life.
